I need to quit scanning the internet and go do my dishes, cook dinner (those sausage pies from the other day), and finally settle down to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but first I want to point out a link I found interesting. Remember John McCain’s baffling statistic about North Koreans being shorter than South Koreans? Well, there is definite basis in fact for that, which isn’t too surprising. What is more interesting to note is how Americans have been losing inches over the past 50 years, compared to other first-world countries. Now, I could make some glib remark reflective of how our policies as a nation have failed to measure up since WWII, but I’d rather just point out that we shouldn’t be throwing stones at glass houses or adulteresses.
I’d have more in-depth analysis of this, but I said it would be quick, plus I don’t feel like researching more. I only really got interested in it because I’m short, and it made me feel less like I stand out. In some weird reverse fashion.
